The all new Nokia N95 8GB
There was alotta talk about the N95 when it was released back in September 2006. But in recent times the developers were able to develop a new version of the Nokia N95 which is called NOKIA N95 8gb which is totally outta our reach(@ least mine):)

There are a few singnificant differences on the N95 8gb which makes it a much more better performable phone. I’ll list a few..
01. Battery capacity has been increased to 1200mAH which is a 25% increase.
Has no problem getting through at least 24hrs of use.
02. The screen size has been increased to 2.8 inches from 2.6 inches
Performs better in outside conditions.
03. 8GB Internal flush memory which replaces the Micro SD card slot on the N95 classic.
There’s more space to store your multimedia now.
04. Increased RAM from 64mb to 128mb.
This will make sure that it is able to open any number of applications at the same time. Multitasking is now much easier.
05. Top slide keys are more dimple and has been raised.
Makes it much more easier to press the keys.
06.The control keys have been slightly shrunk but the outer keys have been raised.
This is to accomadate the larger screen but still you could go on about easily as before.
07. No lense cover
Due to the increase of the battery size they’ve decided to remove the lense cap.
08. The Multimedia Menu offers the same applications but in addition it enables a lower level of functionality also.
Makes things much more easier although it ain’t much customized.
09. Software tweaks
Improvements in the Camera s/w, picture taking time, N-Gauge application, search etc.
So the N95 8gb offers the same functionality as the N95 classic but has a significant number of s/w tweaks and the hardware changes has improved user friendliness of the device.
All in all a great multimedia smartphone if you could afford it.

Even if you can. Avoid it. Very disappointing and bad for Nokia’s reputation.
My friend who has only purchased Nokia phones before, bought it after a great deal of anticipation and found it was a big mistake. Had to return one phone and the second one started playing up within a few days and when sent for repairs it took them 10 days to return it. There are still numerous problems: for example when two people ring at the same time it freezes. To make matters worse Nokia’s response has been less than satisfactory. They did not return emails to the customer service team requesting a replacement etc
If you look at on-line reviews you will see numerous unsatisfied customers. Eg. http://www.yourmobilephonereviews.co.uk/nokia_n95_reviews.htm
I have decided, for the moment, that if you want to be contactable in emergencies a mobile has to be quite basic and solid, with core features that work, and for other features a PDA is the way to go. The other alternative, which people appear to be happy with is the blackberry.
This is one case where you definitely do not get what you paid for.
Sorry, I meant the N95 classic. It would be interesting to see how much of an improvement this one is. The poor customer service in Nokia has now turned my friend off even bothering to try another Nokia smart phone.
I gotta say, your picture is not of an N95, its an N81 or N82.
L >> well..It’s always like this rite..some have problems some don’t..In ur friend’s case however he was a bit unlucky to have gotten a bad product I guess..frm a faulty batch most probably.
And all phonz r quite unstable at first..wait fa a few months at least until they figure out n solve the probz according to customer needs..that’s wat I usually do.
Frm wat I read frm that article it’s apparent that the battery powerz not sufficient but according to a few ppl I kno it’s not a problem. Then again it depends on the person n what he uses his phone for rite?
GPS seems to be loading slow..well that ain’t news for us..It has to be slow depending the number of connections the satellite has to handle simultaneously. I hope that y’all don’t use the N95 8GB for the sole purpose of GPS. Think of it as an additional feature.
Thanks alot for reviewing my article. This is wat makes ppl choose the right product from the bad.
kwiksand >> haha..ur rite..I changed the pic..thx
Actually that’s what I thought..ie this was bad luck. But then I read a comment under the link above that I provided; one of the comments refer to the fact that vodafone in UK has stopped supplying the phone due to too many returns due to faults. So I presume there must be some substance to the complaints.
You are right, it depends on what you want to use the phone for. I would suggest it is a fun but expensive plaything.
